Comments

All Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department crime data is provided directly to enterprise vendor LexisNexis via their Community Crime Map platform (formerly called RAIDS). Not only is the data purposefully obscured from public raw access -- even using advanced scraping techniques such as Beautiful Soup Python library to scrape contents will not work – there is a clause in the contract with LexisNexis that says SCMPD may use the free service for reporting so long as LexisNexis is the only entity that receives the data in real-time, and that all crime FOIA requests be directed by simply referring users to the Community Crime Mapping app, which is, by the wayk inoperable on mobile.

Not openly licensed despite the fact it is public data.

Accepting as it was self-provided based upon research and phone calls to SCMPD.
