I was unable to view the exported data with my programs (Excel 2007 and Open Office 4.1). However, the raw data are clearly there in the API when you switch to the table view (a Socrata feature). Navigating this is not ideal, though, and not being able to export it will obviously be problematic for people without the right programs (this certainly has something to do with the Geospatial data, but I also couldn't download the CSV file without the geospatial data). Luckily, most people who'd actually want the raw data probably have the right programs to work with it. I just can't vouch for it without having actually downloaded; though I did see it through the API.
