Third-party site crimemapping.com is officially licensed by the city of Ann Arbor to provide crime data. A weakness of the data set provided in this approach is that the data is provided only for the most recent 6-month rolling window. Exporting more than 800 records at a time is not possible, so retrieving data for an entire 6-month period typically requires 6 separate requests. Data needs to be copied and pasted from HTML to some other format, but the HTML is formatted correctly – so the pasted material inherits the tab-delimitations.
